The Namesake

Recently, we watched the movie "The Namesake" - a DVD that I'd bought as a result of my sheer laziness to read the book (a bestseller by Jhumpa Lahiri) all these years.
"The Namesake" is a beautiful film with an excellent performances from Kal Penn (an American-born confused desi), Tabu (the traditional Indian woman) and Irrfan Khan (the head of the household).
"The Namesake" offers audiences an insight into Bengali/Indian traditions and the immigrant experience while telling a universal story of family bonds. Packed with unique characters, this movie is worth watching! :-)
